If my hair looks frizzy, is it okay to use product?
I need to see your curls just as they naturally.
Products cause the curls to clump together. This can be really uncomfortable for you while cutting your hair dry and also this can make it difficult for me to really assess your true curl pattern.
What if I tie my hair up, does it matter?
YES! This can distort your curl pattern. Your hair is always cut dry. When you clip, tie or braid your hair it may stretch out your curls at various stress points. Once your hair is cut, styled and and dried the curl will reform into its natural and original pattern. If stretched in any way prior to dry cutting, this may result in a imbalanced haircut that could take months to grow out. I am just not comfortable to proceed in giving you a haircut that may look uneven and will require correcting.
We have both made a commitment to being fully prepared and to show up for this appointment. Waitlist are lengthy. If your appointment cannot go ahead for any of the above reasons a full charge will apply to your account as previously set out as we cannot replace this loss at short notice. We do not take walk-ins due to the advance and required preparation work that is required.
